Since 1980s, the interior design and decoration industry has been speedily developing and got great achievements. In 2006, the market size of the interior design and decoration has been reached one trillion, being a hot point in GNP. Stadium construction, stars cabaret rebuilding, floor plan design improving, and the application of new materials and technologies provide a good opportunity to the development of the interior design in China.

Cruise and yacht is honored as “flowing golden holiday villa” and “city card”. It is a travel style for successful persons as leisure and business activities, in addition that they are gradually entering into Chinese superiors’ life. The first Symposium of cruise & yacht design and decoration cooperated by CBDA and CCYIA is aimed to create a communication platform, to create new life experience and to provide brand-new design conception for interior designers.

The first Symposium is to be held from May 6^th to 10^th of 2008 in Costa Allegra, a crystal cruise ship with lively and modern design, which will make attendees feel personally, relaxed and luxurious, as well as get inspiration from the design.

The theme of this Symposium is: Cruise & Yacht --- Design and Future. We will invite the most famous designer Khuan Chew who had designed the CRYSTAL ALLEGRA and other world's top class designers to give us some lectures on “Cruise & Yacht Design and Modern Life”, “The Design of Seven-Star Cabaret and Leisure Life” at this Symposium. Moreover, they will communicate with domestic designers.

We believe that the five-day leisure travel around southeast Asian cities, Hong Kong (China) --- San Ya(China) --- Ha Long Bay (Vietnam) --- Hong Kong (China) will provide enough time for you to share experience, to cooperate with others through the platform, as well as to make China design enter into the whole world.
