Policies Issued by the Ministry of Transportation on the Debut of the Legend of the Sea Sailing from Tianjin

On 31th July, Royal Caribbean Cruise Ltd and Tianjin Port signed agreement and declared that the Tianjin port will be the home port of “the legend of sea” luxury cruise in northern China.

On the “Cruise Summit”, Mr. Song Dexing, the director of Water Transport Department released five policies according to the implementation details of existing policies and the latest cruise policies. First, the Ministry of Transport of P.R.C determined that after special approval, international cruise ships can call at many ports of China in three months to improve operating efficiency. Second, improve the construction management and layout of cruise ports. Third, strengthen international maritime passenger transport management according to law and improve cross-strait policy of the cruise route. Fourth, International Cruise can set up Subsidiary Proprietorship in China. Fifth, improve the management of port charges. Secretary General of CCYIA Mr. Zheng Weihang participated the debut of the legend of the sea sailing from Tianjin.

 There are two international cruise lines choose Tianjin as its home port until now which means that cruise tourism will developed fast in north of China.
